A subdued first half came to life when Andros Townsend was fouled in the penalty area by Khalifa Sankare and the England winger lashed in from the spot.

Tripolis pulled one back late on when Federico Faziowas sent-off for hauling down the appropriately named Jeronimo Barrales in the area, allowing the Argentine to score from the spot.
But the home side will be ruing spurning several to earn at least a draw that their attacking play merited. Spurs held on, however, and are now just one win away from the knockout rounds in Group C.
